This Podcast is designed to help YOU become the music professional you want to be by learning from the experts! Originally in 2015, Music Is My Future was a Ohio-based 501(c)3 that focused on educating and building opportunities for students seeking careers in the Music Industry. Unfortunately, due to life challenges the 501(c)3 disbanded- but now in 2024 Music Is My Future is back as a free Podcast to help educate everyone on opporutunities.
This podcast will introduce you to music professionals to help you learn about music professions, learn how to get started in different music professions, and how to improve your chance for success in the industry.
ABOUT YOUR HOST
Kayla worked in the Christian Music Industry for 10 years in multiple positions such as On-Air Talent, Programming Intern, Production Director and Music Manager. Prior to this she worked as a Public Relations intern for Detroit Rock Station 89x.
She currently is a Graduate student at Bowling Green State University studying Popular Culture. She also teaches Intro to Popular Culture to undergraduates. Kayla also enjoys traveling, working in the retro video game industry, and Japanese language & culture.
